After that first workshop, my partner and I got into a pretty good groove when it came to writing our screenplay. But this workshop was pretty important because it brought to our attention something pretty big: our diction. Some of our sentences felt kinda long, or were too formal, but we just didn’t recognize it at the time of writing. Thankfully, our workshop partners pointed this out to us and we made doubly sure to check our diction from then on.
