I knew this was going to be the last of our feather circles for a while, so I wanted to try and go out with a bang and do something that pushes the limits of what a feather circle is. I decided I would write about how I call the card suit clubs clovers, and I thought it would be fun to open it by showing the person next to me a clover card and ask them for its name so I could tell them they’re wrong when they inevitably say clubs. But that’s not how things went, no, Kyra actually said clovers, causing the rest of the class to burst out into laughter (I'm so sorry Kyra). Now, while I thought this would ruin the whole piece, it actually set the stage perfectly thanks to the high energy it created in the crowd. And I LOVED reading the rest of what I wrote, seeing things like my jokes landing made me realize that I actually really liked showing off what I wrote, and for the first time in forever I was actually looking forward to what we had to write next.
